What is meant by Faskh or Faskh of Nikah?

Faskh or Faskh of Nikah means the dissolving of a Nikah contract by the decree of the Qadhi (Muslim judge) or an Islamic Council, where sufficient grounds for the decree exist according to Islamic Law.
