What is the reward for collecting donations for a Masajid, Madrassah (religious school) or other religious purposes?

The Answer;

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Not only is it permissible but it is also a means of gaining reward and has its basis in Sunnah. To run a campaign of donation for a righteous act is like guiding others towards righteousness. It is stated in a Hadith, ‘The one who guides towards an act of righteousness gains as much reward as is given to the one who performs that act.’ (Sahih Muslim, pp. 1050, Hadith 1893)

And Allah(swt) alone knows best.
